Anticoagulation Therapy for the Impella® Supported Patient Online Training Course

Welcome to the Anticoagulation Therapy for the Impella Supported Patient course. This course consists of one lesson and a quiz. Additional optional resources are also provided. This training offers information on understanding the Impella purge system and how best to monitor anticoagulation for patients on Impella device support. It covers the following topics:

• Access and groin management for bleeding prevention
• Overview of the purge system
• Anticoagulation recommendations
• Heparin-induced thrombocytopenia (HIT)
• Monitoring for anticoagulation
• Bleeding mitigation

Upon completion of the curriculum, you will receive an email with a link to your certificate, which details the credits earned for curriculum completion (0.5 for AACN and 0.75 for ASRT).

Note: You have three attempts to pass the quiz. If you do not pass within the first three attempts, the course will be reset, and you will then have the opportunity to attempt the quiz again.
