Recognizing the Ideal Patient

That could benefit from a Protected PCI procedure

Diagnostic Testing Could Lead to Answers

Tests like echocardiograms, stress tests and coronary angiograms could reveal important details about your patients’ condition, such as stage of heart failure. These tests could also uncover the underlying cause of the patient’s heart failure. This information can help you determine your patient’s appropriate treatment plan and detect a condition before it gets worse.

In a randomized controlled trial using Impella 2.5, an earlier generation of the Impella heart pumps, 8-in-10 patients treated with Impella heart pumps experienced reduction in heart failure symptoms or improvement in heart function.1,2

What is Impella CP®?

Impella CP is an FDA-approved heart pump used to support the heart during a PCI procedure. An Impella CP heart pump-supported procedure is performed by an Interventional Cardiologist (IC) and could improve patients’ chance of heart recovery—including patients who were turned down for surgical revascularization.
