Right Heart Failure

A New Standard of Care for Right Heart Failure

The Impella RP® heart pump has the ability to stabilize hemodynamics, unload the right ventricle and allow for native heart recovery in patients with right ventricular failure. Delivered through a minimally-invasive catheterization technique via the femoral vein, Impella RP heart pump is designed to provide the flow and pressure needed to compensate for right heart failure. The RECOVER RIGHT study demonstrates increased cardiac index and reduced central venous pressure immediately after pump insertion and sustained hemodynamic improvement after pump removal.1
